Electronic Hardware Design
MTC have designed and developed hardware
for a number of small, medium, large and multi-national companies,
utilising a range of differing technologies. This has been for
applications in both product design
and custom automated test equipment
This service encompasses all aspects of product development from
the initial specification stage to type approval testing.
Paramount importance is given to documentation quality and control,
ensuring that the equipment can be supported during its life
cycle. M.T.C. have a policy of archiving documentation for a
period of five years.
MTC use ACCEL Schematic and ACCEL Tango
for circuit drawings and PCB layout, and hence have compatibility
with most popular design tools on the market. MTC also offer a PCB layout facility,
and can arrange manufacture of boards from a variety of sources.
Software Design
MTC have experience in a number of
software languages including "C", Pascal, Visual Basic
and a variety of assemblers.
In the majority of instances this software is developed on a
P.C. host in support of product design
or custom automated test equipment
manufacture.
Product software for embedded processors has been developed involving
Intel, Hitachi, Motorola, Microchip and Mitsubishi parts.
MTC are committed to good documentation quality and control and
utilise a lifecycle model for all development work.

In support of custom automated
test equipment development, MTC offer a fixture design service.
The fixtures range from a simple product "nest" to
full pneumatically operated mechanisms. Custom parts for the
fixtures are manufactured for MTC by a local precision engineering
firm. Electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components are all
fully documented.
Custom Automated Test Equipment
MTC offer a design and manufacturing
service for custom automated test equipment. MTC can fit into
any part of the customers test strategy. Equipment can be manufactured
from the customers existing designs, or MTC can offer a full
test strategy consultancy and specification service. MTC's capability
ranges from simple "black boxes" to full IEEE488 controlled
"rack and stack" systems. A full and accurate documentation
package is supplied with all equipment allowing the customer's
service department to easily perform any maintenance that may
be required; alternatively MTC would offer a full, on-site maintenance
contract.
All aspects of the system design and manufacture
can be handled by MTC, electronic hardware
design, software design , mechanisms and fixtures; resulting in
a one stop, turn key solution to customers test equipment needs.
MTC offer a flexible electronic
product design and development service. MTC can address most
product design and development aspects using in house resources
and, where required, can project manage external sources of service
or supply.
MTC are pleased to work on complete projects from initial specification
to production start-up, or on part projects performing electronic
hardware design or software design.
MTC's design staff have experience in designing for high volume
manufacture and have contacts with a number of local assembly
houses.
